William S. O'Brien of Audubon, NJ age 77 passed away at his residence on Monday October 24, 2011. He is the beloved husband of the late Tyanna O'Brien. Bill is survived by his 5 loving daughters: Anne O'Brien (David Fleck) of Baltimore, MD, Bridget Mink (Brian) of Haddonfield, Megan Lewis (Tony) of Athens, GA, Sara O'Brien of Audubon, Katie Bogle (Andrew) of Haddon Twp.; 8 cherished grandchildren: Tyanna, Regan, John Patrick & Brady Mink, McKenzie, Liam & Delaney Lewis and Sadie Jane O'Brien; also his dear sister Doris Clark of Bayonne.


Bill (also known as OB) was forever the sports enthusiast. He played basketball for the US Army while honorably serving our country during the Korean Conflict. Throughout his college days at American University, Bill played both baseball and basketball and routed tirelessly for his beloved Redskins. In addition to sports, Bill passionately supported cancer research and was an avid champion of The Tyanna Barre O'Brien Breast Cancer Foundation (named in honor of his late wife).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday evening from 6-8pm and again on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30am at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W Atlantic Ave, Audubon. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am Friday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta-Holy Savior Church, 30 Emerald Ave, Westmont, NJ. Burial will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
