William J. Glennan, Sr., age 94 of Oaklyn, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital in Washington Twp.
Mr. Glennan was born in Camden and had been a longtime resident of Oaklyn. His home had contributed to the manpower of our great nation upholding the ideals of our American freedoms in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bill made his career working as a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers Union, Local 19, Philadelphia.
Mr. Glennan is the widower of his late wife of 70 years, Neta G. (nee Fleming) Glennan. Bill was the father of; Stephen H. Glennan, Maureen King, the late Marie C. Kollar, the late William, Jr., and the late Patrick M. He is the proud grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 6. Bill was predeceased by his siblings and is survived by his remaining brother Eugene & his wife Shirley Glennan of Gloucester City.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, and parishioners are invited to gather with the Glennan family. We’ll be sharing our heartfelt stories on Monday morning between 9:00 am and 10:00 am at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn. We will celebrate BIll’s life through faith. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Church 426 Monmouth St. Gloucester City. A graveside tribute and military honors will immediately follow and conclude at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
