Dennis W Hart of Gloucester City, Age 82,
Known as 'The Sewing Machine Man' owner of Expert Sewing Machine Repairs, passed peacefully November 2, 2021, with his Family by his side. Predeceased by his ex wife Shirley Powell Hart Prepsel, and his brothers Benjamin, Eugene, and Robert Hart. Survived by his children Joseph Hart and Denise Hart-Mazur (Mark), and his doting girlfriend Virginia Gordon. Loving Poppy to Louis (Kylie), and James Hart, Jeremy (Molly), Douglas and Jillian Mazur. Great Poppy to Charlotte Hart and Uncle Dennis to many family and friends. .
Dennis was the 2nd son born to Charles n Lois (nee Nichols) Hart. He was born in Delaware Township and lived in Camden where he attended Woodrow Wilson HS class of 1956. He served in the US Army 1961-63 in Field Artillery. He returned to NJ and started his business and raised his family with Shirley in Gloucester City. Dennis was one of the “old neighborhood” Dads, becoming a 2nd Dad to many. His main focus in life was his Family, his business and his customers. In his later years, Dennis spent a majority of his time with his girlfriend Virginia. He enjoyed a good western movie, watching boxing and MMA, always working on beating the lottery many times, along with playing cards with his poker club friends. He always had a gentle way about him with a quick humor and always ready to help.
Viewing will be held at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell St Gloucester City on Tuesday evening between 6:00 pm and 8:45 pm where a funeral ceremony will begin at 8:45 pm. Interment will be held privately.
