Age 102 a long time resident of Audubon, NJ passed away on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at the Collingswood Manor. Thelma lived in Audubon for over 75 years where she was the former Borough Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics. She was active in numerous clubs and organizations including the Moorestown - Isaac Burroughs Chapter DAR & Haddonfield Chapter #140 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a 50+ year volunteer for the American Red Cross and recipient of the Clara Barton Award and a member of Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Judith C. Lamb and her husband George of Port Saint Lucie, FL; granddaughter Cynthia L. Nary & her husband David of Westmont; 6 great grandchildren: Cassandra, Jack & Kyle Nary, Joseph, Jesse & Paige Lamb; niece Patricia Herstine & her husband Stanley.
Mrs. Chew was predeceased by her husband Merwon R. Chew; son Merwon R. Chew, Jr; 2 grandsons Donald Lamb & Martin Lamb (Kathleen).
Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday September 1st at 11AM at the Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church, White Horse Pike & Merchant St, Audubon, NJ 08106. Rev. Donald Painter officiating. Eastern Star services will begin at 10:45AM. Interment Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton at the convenience of the family.
