“Aloha” is a welcome greeting and is also a farewell. The aloha way of life is one of compassion, love and grace and one that Suzanne exemplified in her life. Suzanne Schmitz (nee murphy) loved everyone equally. On February 4, 2022, Suzanne passed away peacefully surrounded by family after an extended battle with cancer. She was a true warrior and fought her cancer battle for years with unending courage and perseverance.
Suzanne was born in Philadelphia, PA and was raised in Oaklyn, NJ. She graduated from Collingswood High School in 1973. Sue eventually settled in Palmyra where she lived for several decades. She had worked as a CNA in her early years before her 35+ year career as a Claims Adjuster for Merchant Insurance Co. in NJ. Suzanne had an incredible flair for jewelry, fashion, purses and accessories. She was artistic and created the most beautiful jewelry for family and friends. However, her most endearing quality was her devotion to her son, Chris. He was her ray of sunshine. He really was her greatest love of all. She fought every day to stay here with him, was the best mom and his best friend.
Suzanne is the daughter of the late Christopher & his wife Doris (nee McFarland) Murphy. She is survived by her only son Christopher Schmitz. Sue is also survived by her brothers Jim Kaillough and Stephen Murphy.
All are welcome to greet Chris and his family Saturday February 12, 2022 from10-11 am, followed by a remembrance ceremony from 11:00-12:00 at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn NJ.
