SSGT. Michael Vincent Del Campo,
June 14, 1986 — June 11, 2013
True heroes are those that go that extra mile, the ones who lend their heart and soul to help others. One of those heroes was SSGT. Michael V. Del Campo, Sr., 26 of Olympia, WA, formerly of Hi Nella, NJ who passed suddenly on June 11, 2013. Michael was a SSGT in the United States Army who served two tours in Iraq and was currently stationed on the West Coast.
Michael was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 14, 1986 and was a graduate of the Sterling High School Class of 2005. He was also a former member of the Hi Nella Fire Department before joining the Army. Michael was a phenomenal father, brother, husband, son and friend. He will be deeply missed by his 5 young children as well as the O'Brien, Cunningham and Del Campo families.
Relatives and friends are invited to join SSGT. Del Campo's family to celebrate and remember Michael's life through faith and love on Saturday July 6, 2013 from 10-11 at St. Thomas More RC Church, 1439 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Fr. Johnson, officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ.
The family would appreciate that contributions in Michael's memory be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
