Legends say that butterflies float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy, and celebration. The Butterfly's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning, and that laughter is life's sweetest creation. The butterfly counts not months but moments and has time enough.
Sandra E. Sellers (nee Wood) found her home to be the starting place of love, hope, and dreams. It's where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends. Sandy was a bit sassy, a homebody who doted on her family. We always thought we had more time with her, but on Monday, January 22, 2024, unexpectedly, it was enough. After just 72 years, the unthinkable became the unspeakable. Time stood in a duel and Mom we stood for you.
Sandy’s moments began during mid-winter of 1951. She had spent her entire circle of days as a Gloucester neighbor, surrounding herself with lots of friends. Sandy made her career working as a manager at area Bradlees and then as a policy typist for Surety Title. She was established in love almost 50 years ago and filled all of her days with precious moments, especially those Wildwood days, alongside the love of her life. The sun always sets, the moon always falls. It feels like the end, pay no mind at all. Don't fear sadness, as it tends to sit next to love.
Sandy is the daughter of the late Edward Wood and Eleanor (nee Tobias). She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband Ronald T. Sellers, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Sandra (late Jerry) Adams, Harry D. & his wife Theresa K. Smith, Jr. and Ronald T. & his wife Lori Sellers, Jr. Sandy is the porous grandmother of; Brandon, Kyle, Rocky, Zachary, Dylan, Julian and Elliana. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her siblings; Sherry Russell, Lynda Ristine, and George Tobias, Sr. as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sandy was predeceased by her brother Ray Wood, her brother Frank Wood, and her sister Winnie Wood.
Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Sellers family on Friday afternoon. We’ll come together to take comfort in each other between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell St., Gloucester.
