Robert T Mallison

January 12, 1952 — February 25, 2024

Runnemede

Robert T. Mallison, 72, of Runnemede, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, has peacefully passed away. Robert's journey came to a serene conclusion on February 25th, 2024, at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, during the early winter in 1952, Robert began a remarkable journey filled with diverse experiences. He worked diligently as a lineman for Verizon and was a skilled professional photographer who owned and operated Sunshine Photo. Robert's creative spirit proliferated through his work behind the camera lens capturing cherished moments for many.

As a Renaissance man, Robert found joy in exploring the world around him. He loved working on old cars and had a deep love for nature, he appreciated the beauty of both man-made machines and the wonders of the great outdoors. His creative side manifested in his dabbling with stained glass, showcasing his eye for detail and artistry.

Robert's love for sci-fi and fantasy had him diving into worlds like "Star Trek" and "Lord of The Rings". He immersed himself in stories that transported him to magical realms filled with adventure and heroism.

Beyond his professional accomplishments and hobbies, Robert's proudest role was serving as the Chairman of The Oaklyn Baptist Church Board of Trustees. His dedication to his community and faith was unwavering, leaving a lasting impact and legacy of leadership on those around him.

Known for his lively personality, Robert was described as loud and engaging—a true storyteller who could captivate any audience. He had a sweet tooth for ice cream and cake and was notorious for spinning tall tales about what he claimed to have in his garage (the funny thing is that he really did have most everything in that garage). Beneath this jovial exterior was a curious soul—a tinkering handyman always eager to explore new things.

Robert leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by those who were fortunate enough to know, love and adore him. He is pre-deceased by his brother Timothy Mallison and his oldest son Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy (nee Marshall), his children Jonathan (Devon), April (boyfriend Daniel), granddaughter Samara, and his attack cat Laia. In addition, Itay Rubinchik and LuAnn Mallison mourn the loss of Bob along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Robert T Mallison not only for the loss we feel but also for the light he brought into our lives through his kindness, creativity, and zest for living each day fully. May his memory continue to inspire us to embrace life's adventures with enthusiasm and love.

Relatives, friends, neighbors and Church congregants are invited to gather with the Mallison family. Our time for those who knew him to gather together in both grief and celebration of a life well-lived will be on Sunday evening between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and again on Monday morning between 9:00 am and 11:00 am where a funeral ceremony will be celebrated at 11:00 am all at Oaklyn Baptist Church 29 E.
