Robert Eugene Berry, Sr. born on August 3, 1923 in Atlanta GA and died April 24, 2017 in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Robert was known by many names, Bob, Bobby, son, brother, uncle, father,dad, daddy, grandpa, poppop, poppy great grandpa, great poppop, chief, chairman of the board and to some Indy.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Jeanette Lenore (nee Walden) Berry and one great granddaughter Holly Berry Huynh.
Survived by his children Robert Jr., Walter, Harriett, Thomas, John, Annette and Jeanette along with daughter in laws, Miryam, Suzanne and Janie.
13 Grandchildren Rebekah, Jeanine, Tyler, Audrey, Lauren, Philip, Ron, Colleen, Megan, Matthew, John, Stephanie and Kylee.
10 great grandchildren Chloe, Ashlynn, Jace, Savannah, Landon, Ava, Eli, Christine, Scarlett, Aidan and baby Berry, that only he and John and Amy knows the baby's name.
Robert was a veteran of WWII and served in the US Navy as an aviation machinist. He left the Navy and then became a tool and dye maker before working 39 years for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company (aka Verizon).
Bob spent many years serving in the Boy Scouts of America, Bell Telephone Pioneers of America, doing Genealogy, doing LDS Temple work, doing missionary work and serving THE Lord. He loved camping, fixing things and most of all fishing.
Bob never had unkind words to say about anyone and smiled all the time.
His loves were family, faith, family history, friends and fishing.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service and a million pieces of paper filled with family history and mysteries.
He will be missed by many but is now with his eternal companion and extended family.
