The world in which we live equally distributes talent. But, it doesn't equally distribute opportunity. Never wait for the right opportunity, It’s usually disguised as hard work. create it! Oliver H. “Bud” Creamer always believed in hard work. Honest work would be done for honest pay. He was a self-made man of intellect who vigilantly believed that you always have something to learn and could create opportunities to improve yourself. We want to die with memories, not dreams and aspirations.
Bud was a dedicated husband and family man who sort of kept to himself. He was kind, caring, and a quiet homebody. Home is where your treasure is. There, your heart will be also. On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, we learned how difficult it was to love something death can touch. Bud passed away quietly at his home in Westville surrounded by the love of his family.
Bud was born in Gloucester City and spent his formative years there. His home had contributed to the manpower of our nation upholding the ideals of our American freedoms in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He had been a longtime Westville neighbor and was a renaissance who was innately handy. He was a certified electrician, a master carpenter, and a musician strumming on his guitar. During his early years, Bud worked as a police officer. He was the C.O.O of American Maglev and made his career working for the Carpenters Union, Local 393 in Edison, NJ. At home, he was gentle and spontaneous. His family never knew where they would wind up. They’d hit the road like an old country song but the times we had, wouldn't trade ‘em for gold ‘cause the love and the laughter will live on long after All of the sadness and our tears.
Mr. Creamer is the widower of his late wife Marilyn (nee Webster) Creamer. He is survived by his girls; Annette & her husband James Rocco and Angela Palladino. Bud is the proud grandfather of Gabrielle, Caitlin and Meghan. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his brother Paul Creamer as well as his nieces and nephews. Mr. Creamer was predeceased by his sister Gail Sweeney and his brother Pat Creamer.
Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to gather with the Creamer family. We’ll come together in tribute and thanksgiving on Wednesday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes, 700 Powell St., Gloucester where a remembrance ceremony will be celebrated at 12:00 pm.
