What a beautiful woman. She moved with grace in her heart, she was entirely feminine, and yet, she possessed incredible inner strength. There was kindness in her voice and love in her soul. Nancy Storms (nee Blome) believed in family first. She invested all of her effort into her family and her faith. Surviving is important but thriving is elegant.
Home is the starting place of love, hope, and dreams. The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back. Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends. This is where Nancy spent all of her years.
On Friday, September 1, 2023, The Lord called Nancy home. Her soul had risen, just as incense to a place where there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. For all of these former things have passed away. Yet, as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, Thou art with us. He restoreth our soul. Goodness and mercy shall follow us all of our days.
Nancy was born in and spent her formative years as a Gloucester Heights Neighbor before moving after marriage to Westville. She was a lifetime and active parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and had bowled in the St. Anne’s league for over 44 years. Nancy was a member of the Westville Library Commission and will be fondly remembered as a sweet, caring, doting homemaker.
Nancy is the widower of her late husband Joseph W. Storms, Jr. She is survived by her children; Nancy Reed, Joseph, III, Jeff, John & his wife Diane Storms. Mrs. Storms is the proud grandmother of; Michael, Lee, Justin, Jeffrey, Jr., Matthew, Parker, Ryann, Joseph, IV, and great-grandmother of Ellison & Taliah.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, parishioners and league bowlers are invited to gather with the Storms family. We’ll come together in tribute and thanksgiving to take comfort in each other on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell St., Gloucester where a remembrance ceremony will begin at 12:00 pm. We will conclude our time together in a graveside tribute where we will bear witness to love’s reunion at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
