Son of the late James and Mary Flynn, Menlough, Co Galway. One of 9 children, Survived by 5 siblings, Moira Devilly, John Flynn, Helen Sheils, Theresa Broderick, Pat Flynn

Ordained June 1958 in County Wexford, Ireland
Assigned to Diocese of Camden New Jersey in September 1958, as parochial vicar in St Paul’s parish, Stone Harbor, Cape May, NJ.
He was elevated to Monsignor in 1998.
In his 50 years of active ministry, he was an administrator and later pastor of Saint Anthony of Padua, Camden (1971-1978); and pastor of Saint Ann, Elmer NJ (1978-1991); Saint Aloysius, Oaklyn NJ (1991-2003), and Epiphany, Longport, NJ where he served from 2003 until retiring in 2008.
Msgr Flynn was a beloved and dedicated priest who was loved by all and will be sorely missed.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, parishioners, and the Diocese of Camden are invited to gather with the Flynn family. We’ll come together in prayer and tribute on Friday evening between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm and again on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, St. Aloysius Church 37 W. Haddon Ave. where Bishop Sullivan will celebrate a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Repatriation and interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Oranmore, Ireland.
