Mrs. Rutherford served in the Army during WWII. She graduated from Duke University Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. On June 2, 1952 she married Robert O. Rutherford.
Marolyn continued her career as a Registered Nurse and was employed by Cooper River Convalescent Center in Pennsauken until she retired. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Moorestown where she served on the Altar Guild. She was active with various church committees; the Out Reach Program and the Episopalian Diocesan Hunger Task Force. Marolyn was a member of American Legion Post#374 Oaklyn, and a member of the Legion of Honor of the chapel of The 4 Chaplains for her community service and received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts Gulf Stream Council, Florida
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday evening from 7-9PM at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W. Atlantic Ave., Audubon and on Friday morning from 10-11AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057 where the Burial Office and Holy Eucharist will follow at 11AM. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church.
