PACANA, Margaret "Margie" Age 69, of Voorhees, NJ. Passed on January 30, 2021. Pre-deceased by her parents, Matthew Pacana and Margaret (nee Schmitz). Born in Philadelphia PA, she grew up in Oaklyn, NJ, attending St. Aloysius Elementary and graduated from Cathedral Academy in Camden. She worked at several companies, most notably Girard Bank and Bell Telephone. She is survived by numerous first and second cousins of the Schmitz and Pacana extended families. She was loyal to family and friends and often could be stubborn. Her most endearing quality was her love of family and friends and you always knew where you stood with her. Margie was fiercely proud of her Polish heritage and especially proud of her father's service to this great nation. After her mother's death, Margie became a companion to her father, always arriving together to family functions.
Margie had a life-changing fall in 2012, leaving her bed-ridden thereafter. She lived in two different assisted living facilities. She was in The Pines at Voorhees Rehabilitation Center when she passed. She loved vacationing in Ocean City, NJ; attending the Mummers Parade and the "after parade" on 2nd Street; the Flyers and playing bingo. After her fall took some of these enjoyments away from her, she began to connect not only with family but with new found friends via social media, particularly after the coronavirus lockdown prevented family members and friends from visiting.
Love fiercely. It means to strive to love with your whole heart. With honesty and without reservation. Margie did exactly that. She loved her family and her friends wholeheartedly.
