On Sunday March 24, 2013 age 89 lifetime resident of Audubon, NJ. Beloved husband of 66 years to his Sweeetie Pie June (nee Bowman). Loving father of Carol Gaskill (James) and Kenneth Jones (Denise); devoted Poppop of Cynthia Bonawitz (Karl), Jeffrey Gaskill (Kim), Patricia Rustico (Jack), Heather Jones, Kelliann Jones and Brian Jones. He especially loved his great grandchildren: Cooper and Nolan Bonawitz, James and Marley Gaskill, Grace Rustico, Jada and Donovan Harrow and Lilianna Shaw.
Len was a 1942 graduate of Audubon High School. He served in the US Army and later was awarded the Army Commendation Award for his accomplishments on D-Day. Len was an active member of Haddonfield Baptist Church. He was involved in many organizations such as Murray-Troutt American Legion Post 262, Audubon Young at Heart Club, Intergeneration Club and Audubon Historical Society. He was inducted into the Audubon Little League Hall of Fame and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Audubon Fathers' Assoc. in 2007. In 2012, he was the Guest of Honor in Audubon's 4th of July Parade. Len was loved by many and will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday morning from 9-11AM at Haddonfield Baptist Church, 124 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield, NJ 08033 followed by Services at 11AM. The family requests a private burial. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to: Haddonfield Baptist Church or Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053
