Kenneth Arnold

Kenneth Arnold of Oaklyn, NJ, passed away on March 9, 2023, age 98 ½ years. Ken was a 1942 graduate of Collingswood High School. After serving in the Pacific during World War II, he attended the Syracuse University School of Forestry earning an undergraduate degree. His chosen vocation was Landscape Architecture and the majority of his professional career was with the George Patton Agency in Philadelphia until his retirement at age 65. Ken was a devoted member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Cherry Hill, NJ, where he volunteered and maintained the Arboretum for over 50 years.

Kenneth was predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward (Jessie) and Harold (Shirley) Arnold. Ken is survived by his nieces and nephews: Bette Cella (Richard); Janet Gibbs (Barry); Alicia Arnold; Lee Arnold and Mark Arnold (Ruth), as well as great nephews, great nieces and many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:30am at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Cherry Hill, NJ. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 11:00am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cherry Hill, Attention: Arboretum Fund, 401 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or electronically via the church website at: https://secure.myvanco.com/YJ7M/home (select Arboretum).
