Joyce Guckes, (nee Sherman), age 84 of Voorhees, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Saturday August 22, 2009 at New Seasons of Voorhees.
Mrs. Guckes was born in Rochester, NY and had been a resident of Audubon since 1954 before moving to Voorhees. Joyce had been a member of Young at Heart and the Order of the Eastern Star, Athena Chapter.
Mrs. Guckes is the wife of the late George Guckes. She is the mother of the late Glenn George and is survived by Linn & her husband Scott Schmidt of Mt. Ephraim and Joy & her husband Brian Struthers of Ontario Canada. Mrs. Guckes is the proud Grandmother of Melissa (James) Smith, Ashley Schmidt, Gregory Schmidt, Clarke Struthers and Lauren Struthers.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the Guckes family to remember and pay tribute to Joyce on Thursday morning between 9:30 and 11 am at the funeral home where funeral services will begin at 11 am. Interment and graveside tribute will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Whitemarsh, PA. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church 18 W. Merchant St. Audubon, NJ 08106
