Age 65, formerly of Audubon, NJ passed away on Sunday June 16, 2013 at Toms River Community Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Susan (nee Glazier) and 3 cherished daughters: Susan Neergaard (Shane), Holly Glavey (Patrick) and Karen Waleski. He is the proud grandfather of Alanna & Maya and brother of Maryann Gallagher.
John was a resident of Audubon for over 30 years before moving to his summer home in Lavallette.
While in Audubon, he served as president of the Audubon school board and coach for Audubon Girls Softball.
Prior to his retirement, John was a wholesale produce supplier and owner of John W. Waleski Produce Inc. in Philadelphia. John was an avid outdoorsman who earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of both the Burrs Mill and Rosedale Hunting clubs and a volunteer working with NJ Conservation in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. John loved spending time crabbing and boating at the Jersey shore and was especially proud of his garden there. John has passed this love for gardening on to his daughters who now maintain his garden and their own.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday morning from 9-11AM at the Haddonfield Baptist Church, 124 E. Kings Hwy, Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Funeral service will follow at 11AM.
