Joan Ross

Like a seashell carried by the ocean's ebb and flow, Joan Ross (nee Bansky) drifted gently from this shore to the next. Mrs. Ross passed away, after 84 trips around the bright sun on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Autumn Lake of Cherry Hill. She was a longtime neighbor of Collingswood, Joan's spirit was as warm and familiar as the sun on a Wildwood summer day—a place she cherished, "Oh, those Wildwood days," where the sea breeze seemed to dance with her laughter.

Joan was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring sister, and a friend who always made time to share a story or lend a hand. With a heart as deep as the ocean, she poured her love into her family, filling her days with the beautiful chaos of motherhood. Known affectionately as "Mom Mom Ross," she dedicated herself to the art of home—sewing, cooking, baking, and making every corner of life a little warmer, a little sweeter.

She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Glenn Ross, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and quiet moments. Her legacy lives on in her children: Glenn & his wife Kathy Ross, Jr., Nancy & her husband Fred Brander, and George (Terry) Ross. Though her heart was broken by the loss of her beloved son Joseph in 2020, she now rests in peace, reunited with him once more.

Joan was the proud Mom Mom of Christopher, Robert & his wife Laura Smith, Jennifer & her husband Matthew Scoppetta, Glenn III, and Christine Ross. She is also survived by her two brothers.

Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Ross family. We'll come together in tribute and thanksgiving to remember and pay tribute to Joan on Friday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike. Concluding remembrances and entombment will immediately follow at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill

In lieu of flowers, and as a tribute to Joan's caring nature, her family requests that contributions be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association. Your kindness will help continue the fight against a disease that touches so many hearts.

As the tide slips softly from the shore, so too does a life well-lived ripple on in the hearts of those who loved her. Joan Ross will be remembered for her warmth and the enduring love she so freely gave.
