James E. Pierce

On December 14, 2014, of Gloucester City, NJ, age 68 years. He is the beloved husband of Nancy A. (nee Hennessy), loving father of James C. (Rose), Keith P. (Jessica), Melanie A.., and Gary E. Pierce (Christine), cherished grandfather of Ryan, Kira, Sara, Joshua, Colin, Finnegan, and Margaret Ann and dear brother of Robert and the late Edward Pierce. Mr. Pierce was an EMT and member for over 10 years and former Chief of the Brooklawn EMS. He had also received the Presidential Life Saving Citation from President Bush and volunteered extensively for the American Red Cross. Mr. Pierce was very active in the Gloucester City Little League for over 30 years, as a Coach, Umpire and Player Agent and also Umpired Girls Softball throughout the SJ area. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Powell St., Gloucester City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Interment to be held at the convenience of the Family. There will be no evening viewing.
