James S. (Gurchick) Gurcik

On November 12, 2017, of Brooklawn, NJ, age 78. He is the beloved husband, for 51 years, of Frances E. (nee Beine), loving father of Jeffrey, Sr. (Chris) and Joseph (Michelle) Gurcik, dear brother of Florence Gurchick, Michael Gurcik and George and Andrew Gurchick. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Kaitlyn, Rachel, J. Stephen, Jr., Michaela and Alyssa. Jim was born in Edwardville, PA, moved to Gloucester City in 1941 and to Brooklawn after his marriage to Frances in 1966. They also have loved spending their summers in Chincoteague Island, VA since 2008. Jim graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1956 and is Veteran of the US Air Force. He worked for U.S. Postal Service District Center in Bellmawr, retiring after 20 years of service. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation Church, 601 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr, NJ. Jim's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers his family has suggested memorial donations be made to St. Andrews R. C. Church, 6319 Mumford St., Chincoteague Island, VA 23336.
