James Henry Dobbins,

July 29, 1928 — February 5, 2017

James H. Dobbins, Jr.

Of Audubon and more recently of Mt. Laurel, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the age of 88.

Husband of the late Wilhelmina (nee Settar), late Glenda (nee Allison), the late Zita (nee McMenanmin).
Surviving family includes sons, Jim (Patricia), Glenn (Lori), Mark (Kerry), Scott (Danielle), Joe (Tracy) and daughters Marianne Schiepan (Robert) and Michelle Schmotzer (David).
Also survived by his 20 loving grandchildren; James, Kevin, Mary Josephine, Christine, Wendy, David Jr., Chelsea, Andrew, Noah, Glenn Jr., Michael, Christian, Brittany, Mark Jr., Hayley, Scott, Jodi, Nichole and Stephanie. In addition are his 13 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Katie, Rachelle, Nathan, Brandon, Caiden, Ashton, Torianna, Isabelle, Ethan, Kasandra, Rosie and Nicholas.

Jim worked at Reliable Tire Company on Chestnut Street in Camden for 30 plus years. Over the years, he met everyone from top athletes, actors and musicians and would not hold back from telling you that he knew them personally. He was a man that fathered 7 children and enjoyed family parties, holidays and even comforting those in times of need. He enjoyed dancing, singing, painting and meeting new friends as old ones past away.

Dad-Grandpop-Pop-Jimmy will be laid to rest on Monday, February 13th.
There will be a visitation at Henry's Funeral Home 152 W Atlantic Ave, Audubon, NJ 08106 from 9:00am to 9:45am. Following, he will be taken to his final resting place at St. Paul's Cemetery, Hainesport, Burlington County, NJ.
