Jacob A White

April 19, 2004 — September 6, 2024

Blackwood

Home is the starting place of love, hope, and dreams. Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends. It was here that Jacob A. White flourished as a typical kid turning plain, everyday events into amazing experiences. Trips to the Jersey Shore, Christmas at the Dickens Village in Philly, Disney, movies, scouts, and Church among many other hobbies.

Jacob was headstrong, smart, quiet, and friendly but struggled a bit. Somehow, on Friday, September 6, 2024, the unthinkable became the unspeakable as the corruptible put on the incorruptible. After just 20 short, fun-filled years, we boxed up all of Jacob’s yesterday and neatly tucked them away just a little farther from the sun.

Jacob was born in Voorhees and spent his early years in Haddon Twp where he wrestled as a young man and had more recently spent time in Blackwood. He volunteered his time as an altar server at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Blackwood and worked as a server at Bistro DiMarino in Collingswood. Jacob was obsessed with hobbies and had a deep love for music. Jacob loved to sing and was all over the concert scene. He enjoyed D&D, video games, and Legos as a young boy and had every set under the sun. Over the years, he has enjoyed annual family vacations to Disney. Jacob loved the summer trips to Ocean City with his aunt Nanci and a big ol’ Thanksgiving with Grandma, Aunt Darlene, Uncle Craig, Corey, and Grace. We watched The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, every M. Night movie and of course Star Wars.

Family is like music. Some high notes, some low notes but always a good song. We must remember the music of the past, so we can sing in the present and dance in the future. Jacob leaves in his afterglow, a memory of happy times with his parents Richard (Lisa Falcone) White and Susan (nee Sciamanna) ( Bill Scalia) White. He is the grandson of Jane White and brother of; Samantha, Elliana, and Ethan Scalia. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his aunts Darlene (nee White) (Craig)Laubenstein and Nanci Craig as well as his cousins Corey & Grace Laubenstein. Jacob was predeceased by his late grandfather Anthony (Rose) Sciamanna.

Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the White family. We’ll come together to celebrate life in our comforting faith on Thursday morning between 10:30 am and 11:30 am at the St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Holy Saviour Church 50 Emerald Ave., Westmont, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am.

Burn what is left of me and scatter my ashes to the winds, to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something let it be my faults, my weaknesses. Give my sins to the devil, my soul to god. If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. The time-honored tradition of reuniting those we love with nature will be held privately.
