Herman R. Helms Jr., of Orlando FL passed away at the age of 64 on August 13, 2021. He was born to the late Herman R. Helms, Sr. and Elizabeth Helms (nee Lacy) on November 20, 1956 in Camden, NJ. Herman was a truck driver and was a volunteer firefighter for many years. Mr. Helms was an avid Harley Davidson rider and enthusiast, but there was nothing in life he loved more than his grandchildren.
Herman is predeceased by his siblings; Theresa Helms and Michael Helms. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Jennie Helms, his children; Scott Helms and his wife Stephanie, Theresa Simons and her husband Brandon, and Charity Mathis and her husband Stephen. Herman is also survived by his grandchildren Damion, Nathan, Lacie, Julien, Carly, and Pierce as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to join Herman’s family on Saturday, September 11 between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell Street Gloucester City where a memorial ceremony will begin at 12:00 pm.
