Helen P. Schafer

Helen P. Schafer (nee Penny) of Audubon, NJ age 87 passed away on Monday December 10, 2012. She is predeceased by her husband Benjamin F. (Frank) Schafer and her parents Walter M. & Helen Penny and a brother Walter M. Penny, Jr. Helen is survived by her daughters Penny Reed of Audubon and Patti (Jerry) Anthony of Oaklyn; her grandchildren John (Kelly) Reed of Mt. Ephraim, Wendi (Glen) Doughty of Audubon, Patrick Anthony of Audubon, Kelly (Alex) Roche of Haddon Heights, Kristie Anthony of Oaklyn; her great grandchildren Taylor Reed, Hailey Reed & Nick Wackes of Mt. Ephraim and Emily Doughty & Ryan Benjamin Doughty of Audubon; and dear sister of Ada (Harry) Miller, Catherine Kyler, Joan Crea, Jeanneette Caldwell all of Audubon.

Helen had been a resident of Audubon since 1953. She retired from Camden County Division of Lakeland as an administration assistant after more than 20 years. Helen loved spending time with all of her family, especially with her sisters at the casino. She was a talented piano player and had a passion for all music. She was an avid bingo player and a true pet lover. She will be remembered for her generosity and unbounded love for those she cared about.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday evening 7-9PM and on Saturday from 10-11AM at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W Atlantic Ave, Audubon, NJ 08106 where Funeral Services will begin at 11AM.
