Helen M. MacAdams

On August 21, 2019 (nee Lewis) of Brooklawn, formerly of Ocean View, NJ, age 93. She is the beloved wife of Eugene "Jeep" MacAdams, loving mother of Ralph (Casey) and Paul (Jo-Ann) Scarlett and dear stepmother of Ken (Patti), Scott (Patty), Jeanne and the late Tom (Dee) MacAdams. She is also survived by 17 dear grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Helen was a Cashier at many Acme Market locations before retiring in the 1980's. She had the nickname "Gunner" while attending Gloucester High School and was known to pull the one-armed bandits on more than one occasion at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City. She was also a long time member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Gloucester City and was a past president of the Brooklawn Fire Co. Ladies' Auxiliary. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Helen's Memorial Service on Thursday, August 29th, 10:30 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 62 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ 08096. Interment will be private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers her family has suggested memorial donations be made to CHOP Foundation, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352.
