Gertrude Marie "Trudy" Bussian, age 90, died on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Masonic Home of New Jersey.
She was born on February 4, 1927 and was the daughter of John and Gertrude Cavanagh.
Trudy was preceded in death by her former spouse, John W. Bussian and her beloved daughter, Kathleen B. Jones. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Nancy Eckert of Collingswood and a former Son-in-law, Scot Jones of Barrington. She is also survived by 4 beloved grandchildren; Nicholas Eckert of Medford, Benjamin Eckert of Shamong, Jonathan Jones of Barrington, Katelyn Jones of Mount Laurel and 5 beloved great grandchildren; Natalie, Nicholas, Mason, Jacob and Adam.
Quiet, reserved, contemplative and an excellent student, she dreamed of attending Penn State, when she was a young girl. Before becoming a homemaker, she was employed as a Comptometer Operator. Gifted with a wonderful memory, her favorite TV show was Jeopardy, where she knew the correct answers to almost all of the questions, in her younger days. She was an animal lover, avid reader and unabashed "bargain hunter." One of her greatest pleasures was to purchase small gifts for her family and friends, from the Treasure Trove at the Masonic Home. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many.
