George T Griffiths age 53 of Wenonah New Jersey passed away on August 23, 2023.
George was the son of the late Charles P. and Mildred L Griffiths.
Born in Camden and raised in Gloucester city he attended and graduated from Saint John of God school in Westville New Jersey in 1988. George worked for over 20 years at Abilities Solutions in Westville New Jersey, becoming a celebrity when he was featured in a commercial made at Abilities Solutions.
George was a very sweet person. He loved babies and animals, and was always ready to give a hug and kiss the hand of any lady that was paying attention to him. He loved to dance, and was always on the dance floor at a party, George loved bowling and competed in the Special Olympics for Sparcs Bowling league.
He was the brother of the late Sarah Franks with whom he lived until her passing in 2019.
George is survived by his four brothers, Charles of Merchantville, Peter of Louisville, Kentucky, James of Morehead City, North Carolina, and Robert of Wenonah with whom he lived and who was his caretaker along with Aileen Stepsis until his passing. George is also survived and loved by 14 nieces and nephews, as well as Peyton and Russell Houghton.
Friends and family are invited to George’s’s viewing at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Hones 700 Powell St. Gloucester City New Jersey Monday, August 28, 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, August 29, 10 to 11 am with Catholic services to follow.
Burial will be along side George’s parents, at Brigadier General Doyle cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
