Frederick H. Kreckmann,

Age 93 of Haddon Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2014.
Born and raised in Audubon, Fred graduated in the class of 1938.
Fred was a proud veteran who served in the US Army 604th Ordnance Base Armament Maintenance Battalion during World War II and was stationed in England and France. After the war he worked for Campbell Soup Co and was a supervising draftsman for United Engineers and Constructors (Ratheon) in Philadelphia.
Fred was an avid model railroader and was a member of the Haddon Heights and Audubon Historical Societies.
He was an active member of the Audubon United Methodist Church for over 60 years, was a member of the young men's Gamma Sunday school class, the Chancel Choir and taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. Fred and his wife Marion had the privilege and opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
Fred was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Marion. He is survived by his loving children Marilyn "Lyn" Radley and her husband Scott of Haddon Township, Gary Kreckmann and his wife Fran of Chadwick Beach Island, Lavalette, and Kim Kreckmann and his wife Dorothy of Perryville MD. Also 7 cherished grandchildren: Scott Radley, Jr, Heather Montgomery, Derrick Kreckmann, Andrew Kreckmann, Monika Kreckmann, Allison Kreckmann and Jake Kreckmann, and 8 great-grandchildren. Fred is also survived by his sisters Betty Shivers and Peggy Hammell Wornick.
The family will greet friends from 9:30 - 11 AM Saturday morning, March 15 at Audubon United Methodist Church, Wyoming and Graisbury Avenues, Audubon, NJ 08106. A Celebration Service will follow at 11 AM. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fred's name to the Memorial Fund of Audubon United Methodist Church.
