Evelyn J Murdock

Evelyn J. Murdock, age 93, of Woodbury, formerly of Oaklyn, passed away on January 1, 2021 at her home in Woodbury Mews, Woodbury, NJ.

Ms. Murdock was born in Philadelphia where she spent her early years and had been a longtime resident of Oaklyn, since 1988. She was a longtime and dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph The Worker Parish, St. Aloysius Church in Oaklyn and worked for the IRS in Philadelphia. Ms. Murdock had retired after 41 years.

Evelyn is the daughter of the late Harry & his wife Cecelia (nee Hurley) Murdock. She is survived by her cousins; Joseph “Kelly” and his wife Marianne Ford, Patricia Sofield, Linda Ford-Shaw and Denise & her husband Scott Scragg. Evelyn is also survived and will be sadly missed by many second cousins and good friends. Ms. Murdock was predeceased by her uncle (the late) John Hurley and (the late) Sr. M. Agnes Loretta.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the Murdock family on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, St. Aloysius Church 37 W. Haddon Ave, Oaklyn where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment & graveside tribute will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yadon, PA.
