Age 86 of Haddon Twp., NJ formerly of Audubon beloved husband of 61 years to the late Mary Lois Howard (nee McGovern)
passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday March 27, 2014.
Gene is survived by his children: Eugene Howard, Jr. (Karen), Susan Savadel (John), Barbara Tuttle (Scott), James Howard (Margaret),
Mary Lynne Brewer (Edward) and Michael Howard (Colleen); Grandfather of 17; great grandfather of 5; brother(s) Joseph Howard (Miriam),
the late Jack & Eleanor Howard; sisters Mae Gatti (the late Ralph), Joan Augustine (the late Charles) and the late Ann Howard.
Gene proudly served in the US Navy. He worked for Rohm & Haas, Bridesburg plant of Philadelphia for over 44 years as a chemist.
Gene was an honorary life member and Past Grand Knight of Santa Maria Council Knights of Columbus and Bishop Eustace Assembly,
Knights of Columbus.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday evening from 6-8PM and again on Monday morning from 9AM-9:45AM at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W Atlantic Ave, Audubon, NJ 08106. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10:30AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish-St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd, Haddon Twp., NJ 08033. Burial with military honors will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations in Gene's memory maybe made to: St. Mary's Catholic Home, 210 St. Mary's Drive, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or Santa Maria Council #1443, 350 Crystal Lake Ave, Haddon Twp, NJ 08033
