Erik B. Greenwood

Erik Bruce Greenwood,  45, beloved father and friend, passed away on September 13, 2023, after a  long battle with brain cancer. His final days were spent peacefully, surrounded by his family. Erik
was preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Kristine Greenwood. He is survived by his daughters Jaye and Riley Greenwood, his son Marshall Greenwood, and his sister Jessica Martinsen (Jeff).

He was born and raised in Huntington, WV, where he also attended Marshall University. A life-long fan of The Thundering Herd football, he was proud of his time spent at Marshall University.

Later, when he welcomed his children into the world, he relished his role as a father.

He was also proud of his work at Humana, where is was a valued colleague and friend. He excelled in his field and won many prestigious awards during his time there.

Plans for his internment are ongoing, with a Celebration of Life to take place in Huntington, WV at a future date. A memorial fund has been set up in his honor on GoFundMe, with the proceeds going to his children. Please consider donating to Erk Greenwood Memorial Fund for his Children

Erik's family grieves his loss, but takes comfort in knowing that his long battle is over and he can now rest in peace.
