Emma H. Walker

On December 23, 2015, (nee Handwerker) of Haddon Hts., formerly of Gloucester City, NJ, age 94. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Walker, loving mother of Sandra Street of Haddon Hts. and Beverly Springer of Emmaus, PA. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren Jill Smart, Jonathan Springer and great grandchildren Jessica and Jordan Smart. Mrs. Walker was a loving and caring wife and mother. She was a parishioner of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Haddon Hts. and a member of the Alter Guild. She was also a past president of the Haddon Hts. Women's Club, a member of the Forever Young Club and was an extraordinary seamstress. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 534 4th Ave., in Haddon Hts. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to Ascension Lutheran Church at the address listed above or Haddon Heights Public Library, 603 Station Ave., PO Box 240, Haddon Hts., NJ 08035.
