(nee Albertson) of Audubon, NJ age 85 passed away on May 23, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late John L. Melchert, Sr. Devoted mother to John & Kathleen. Cherished grandmother "Gram" to Jennifer, Michelle, David & great grandson John Michael. Best friend to Claire.
Raised in Haddonfield, Emma was a resident of Audubon for 65 years. Prior to her retirement, Emma worked in the accounting department for JC Penney. She was an avid gardener with a "Green Thumb" & was able to grow almost anything, a talented baker who also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crafts & watching Baseball. She will always be remembered for her extreme generousity & always putting others first, her loving & caring nature & most of all her strong, positive spirit & zest for life.
