Eileen M (Caranci) Jones

Safe spaces mean we can move without fear. For all of us, Eileen M. Jones (nee Caranci), our mom, grandmom, sister, aunt, and friend, was just that. She was kind to love in our chaos and took us into her embrace, and her home. Eileen’s heart was rooted in faith; her door, always open, and her kitchen table was a magic place. When you can touch someone’s heart the possibilities are limitless.

Eileen genuinely cared for and took time for everyone. She was a doting mother and shared her kindness in many ways.

Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.

During the early morning hours, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, after fighting a courageous battle, Eileen went home.

Eileen was born in, and spent her formative years, in South Philly. She had been a longtime resident and raised her family in Blackwood, Gloucester Twp., and enjoyed spending time in Ocean City when not in her craft room. At home, she was a “crafting nut” making all sorts of things for family and friends. She also made and donated covid masks, and caps for newborns, but enjoyed crocheting most of all.

Eileen is the widow of her late husband Arthur Interlante and is the mother of; Michael (Kim Lux), Frank & his fiance Michele Iocona, and Nicholas & his wife Christie Laconte-Jones. She is the proud Mimi of Emily, Kayla, Michael, Cade, Alyssa, Samantha, Frank, Jr., Halle, and Karlee. She is survived by, and will be sadly missed by her sister Joanna & her husband Carl Walp, sister-in-law Deb Caranci, brother-in-law Joseph Kringler, daughter-in-law Stephanie Jones, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Caranci, and sister, Carol Kringler.

When you remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.

Honoring their mother's wishes, the Jones boys have chosen to take comfort in each other privately.
