Edward C. Myers

On December 30, 2016, of Oak Valley, Deptford Twp., NJ, age 85. He is the beloved husband of Barbara A. (nee Blanchard), loving father of Gail Broomall (Ed) and Brenda Prus, dear brother of Edith Valentino (Fortunato) and the late Raymond, Robert, and Harry Myers and Jean Hindhart. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Heather Heitman, Tiffany, Brittany & Mellany Broomall, Jason Prus, great grandchildren Nickolas Prus Preston, Madison Heitman, and Jaxon and Teagan Lewis. Mr. Myers was a retired Navy Veteran serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was awarded numerous medals including 2 Bronze Stars. He was also a retired employee of the Philadelphia Inquirer Newspaper. Ed loved his family and enjoyed working in the yard, making bird houses and bird feeders, turtles and taking car trips to Bonita Springs, Fl. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Ed's Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford, NJ. In lieu of flowers his family has suggested memorial donations be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 N. Monroe Ave., Wenonah, NJ 08090.
