Dorothy Marie "Nan" Henry

December 23, 1931 — December 23, 2013

(nee Dale) age 82, of Audubon, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Mon., Dec. 23, 2013. Beloved wife of 63 years to James C. Henry. Loving mother of Patricia (Frank) DiGenni of Audubon, NJ, and Kristina Minerva (Thomas Smead) of Ocean View, NJ. Cherished grandmother of William Brooks, Stephanie Minerva, and Douglas Minerva, all of Ocean View, NJ. She is also survived by her loving brother Dennis Dale & his wife Lois of Tabernacle, NJ and her uncle, Dr. Robert Moritz & his wife Diane of Vero Beach, FL.

She was born in Stratford, NJ and attended Camden Catholic High School. She met the love of her life James in 1950. In 1951, James and Dorothy married and moved to Audubon where she and James raised their two girls while residing over Henry Funeral Home, the family business.
Dorothy loved, her Toyota, her 5am cigarettes, coffee, the Phillies, and spending time down at Harrah's Casino. Her sharp, witty attitude will be dearly missed.

Dot was actively involved in the community serving as a member of Audubon's Lions Club and Daughters of the American Revolution. She also served as Past President of Audubon Women's Club and was an active member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #218 in Audubon, where she served as Past Matron and Past Grand Officer. The Henry family would also like to offer a special thank you to their wonderful caregivers Michele, Carol, & Cheryl.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sat. Dec., 28, 2013 from 10AM-11:45AM at HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W. Atlantic Ave., Audubon, NJ 08106. O.E.S funeral service will begin at 11:45AM followed by a prayer service at 12PM. Interment will be private at the request of the family. Contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
