Doris (nee Renshaw) Kates of Audubon, NJ on August 10, 2017. Aged 92 years.
Doris worked as a switchboard operator supervisor for Bell Telephone. She later became a proud stay at home mom to care and raise her 2 children. She was a member of the Audubon PTA, a Girl Scout Assistant Leader, and an Assistant Brownie Leader. Doris was a lifetime member of the Audubon and recently Oaklyn American Legion Auxiliary and the Eastern Star.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, Doris will be deeply missed by her family and neighbors.
Beloved wife of the late Leonard Kates. Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Helen (nee Cheesman)Renshaw.
Devoted mother of Linda (fiancé Bruce) Kates and Robert (Rosemary) Kates.
Loving grandmother of Lisa (Jeremiah) White, Robert Jr. (Fiancé Briana) and Heather (fiancé Jacob), and great grandmother of Teddy and Cameron White and Anthony Kates.
Beloved aunt of Albert Gommel, Dale Fry, and Bill Kates and the late Janice Pedrick and Larry Gommel.
Viewing Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 10:30 am - 12 pm. At the Henry Funeral Home, 152 Atlantic Ave., Audubon, NJ 08106
A lifetime celebration will take place at noon.
Interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
