Donna L. Read, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away on January 28, 2024, in Washington Twp. She was born on August 19, 1956, in Camden to Robert Knowles Sr. and Doris (nee Goebel) Knowles.
Donna had an impressive career that spanned many years. She began working at Rohm & Haas as a junior in high school in 1974. Throughout her dedicated service, she witnessed the company's transition into Dow Chemical and eventually retired in 2012. Donna's commitment and loyalty to her work were commendable.
Known for her outgoing nature and kind-hearted spirit, Donna approached life with a happy-go-lucky attitude that touched the lives of everyone around her. She had an infectious smile that lit up any room and brought joy to those she encountered.
In her free time, Donna indulged in several hobbies and interests. She loved dancing and could often be found gliding across the dance floor with grace and energy. Shopping was another passion of hers, particularly at the Christmas Tree Shop where she delighted in finding unique treasures. Additionally, Donna enjoyed camping trips under the starry sky and embarking on adventures around the globe to satisfy her wanderlust. After retiring in 2012, she dedicated herself to babysitting – a role she cherished immensely.
Donna had a special place in her heart for the Hallmark Channel, which provided comfort and inspiration during quiet moments at home. Her warm and welcoming personality made her a dear friend to many and a true blessing to those fortunate enough to know her.
Donna leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She will be forever missed by her children, Kevin T. Read and Lisa Read; her grandchildren, Alyssa "Rowan" Breckow and Kevin T. Breckow; her father, Robert Knowles Sr.; and her siblings, Robert Knowles Jr., David Knowles, Donna Lee Knowles, Melissa Knowles, Kimberly, Stephanie, Daniel, Brianna, David, Jessica, Ariella, and Wesley.
