Age 82 of Westmont, NJ passed away suddenly on Friday March 25, 2011. He is the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Mildred B. (nee Brown) Reckeweg. Survived by his loving children Donald P. Reckeweg and his wife Diane, Judith L. Hammell and her husband Greg, and Linda Shelley and her husband Fred. Also 5 cherished granddaughters Jessica, Kerry, Kamie, Chrissie and Aubrey; niece Helen DeGiralamo and her husband George and children and nephew Edward Wenker.
Don was a resident of Audubon for more than 50 years. He worked for Lynch Exhibits in Burlington in their sales division. Mr. Reckeweg was an artist and loved painting and drawing. He devoted his life to his family and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Haddon Heights. He was also a member of the Audubon Lions Club, an avid fisherman and volunteered his time with the Red Cross.
Relatives and friends are invited to remember and pay tribute to Donald on Saturday April 2, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church, 704 Garden Street, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and a Memorial Service will follow at 11AM. Reception will immediately following in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy contributions in Donald's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the American Red Cross, 5425 Marlton Pike, Pennsauken, NJ 08109.
