Writing isn't about making money, getting famous, getting dates, or making friends. In the end, it's about enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life, as well. Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go. Donald J. Canning, III. lived a life full of expression and exploration. He completed his novel of life on April 28, 2021 at the age of 54 in Camden. And, when he shall die, take him and cut him out into little stars and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garnish sun.
Follow what you are genuinely passionate about and let that guide you to your destination. Donald was a passionate and creative man. He was a writer and lover of poetry. Donald would read from the Bible to the homeless community. He favored poetry, and was known to most as the Jesus poet. Poetry lives in the space of time. Poetry is language at its most distilled and powerful. It is when emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
Donald is predeceased by his mother Priscilla Watson, his son Michael Jubb, his step-father, Kerm Watson and his sisters; Tara Megna and Sheri Godwin. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his father Donald Canning, Jr., his daughter, Britini Kriner, his grandchildren; Lexy Kriner and Robert Krumin, III. as well as his aunts; Barbara Morton and Jill Todd. He also is survived and will be missed by his nephew Stiles Doughten and his cousin Keith Todd.
Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening. The Kingdom of Heaven is not a place, but a state of mind. Jesus Always Comes First.
