Call on the memories in the dark. We’ll let the magic take us away. Back to the feelings when the band played. Where words fail, music speaks. Listening to those “oldies but goodies” are like memories we can go back to. They bring us to a much simpler time. The good old days. Dolores G. Pyle (nee Dalbow) filled her good old days with music, family, Philly sports, and crossword puzzles. Her big, open heart reached many in generosity. Dolores was naturally pleasant, caring, and loved being in the company of her family, especially the little ones.
The memories of our past are the moments we hold onto. But they fail to last. We hope to die with memories, not dreams or aspirations. Dolores passed away on June 29, 2022, after a Phillies World Series and Eagles Superbowl WIN, as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Dolores began her 88 years in Oldman’s Twp. Salem Co., NJ, and had finished them all in Bellmawr, NJ. She had spent time working at Sears in Pennsauken and enjoyed pressing lady luck at the casinos. She was gregarious and humble but also a very loud Phillies & Eagles fan. At home, she enjoyed occupying her time reading and challenging herself with crossword puzzles.
Dolores is the widower of her late husband, whose love turned to memories many years ago, Joseph, Sr. She is survived and will be sadly missed by; Joseph A. & his wife Cheryl Pyle, Jr., Raymond & his wife Denise Pyle, Gloria “Bridgette” & her late husband Salvatore Ferraro and Linda & her late husband James Carboni. She is the proud grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and is the sister of Mary, Reba, Ella Mae, Herb, and Fred.
The Pyle family has chosen to share the memories of their good old days and their heartfelt stories privately. As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to; the American Heart Association www.heart.org 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19103., The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The Make A Wish Foundation www.wish.org 5 Valley Square #210 Blue Bell, PA 19422.
