All or nothing, when it comes to love there is nothing in between. Diana L. Timmins (nee Bopp) did it all! She took care of everything. Led the tribe and made sure that holidays with family were extra special. Surviving is important but thriving is elegant. She was a rainbow amidst a thunderstorm who understood a world that was in love with sunny days.
Seeing death as the end of life is as seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean. As the sun slips into the distant horizon, tell me again how the end of something can’t be beautiful. On Saturday, September 16, 2023, we watched our beautiful Princess Diana’s sunset and she took our world with her at the age of 73.
Mrs. Timmins was born in Camden and had been a longtime resident of Williamstown. She made her career as a legal secretary for the Camden County Board of Social Services before her retirement in the early spring of 2005. Diana was a dedicated and active member of the Williamstown VFW Post 1616 where she proudly served as Chaplain, Secretary, and Treasurer, among other offices, over 23 years. Diana loved to press lady luck hangin’ on to the one-arm bandits at the casinos, passionately cheered on the Phightin’ Phils, enjoyed family camping trips, and a relaxing sip of wine while visiting the local South Jersey wineries, especially Balic Winery. Diana will fondly be remembered as a silly but fun-loving wife, mother, and grandmother. One day we will know how lucky we were to have known her love with wonder, not grief.
Diana was established in love over 35 years ago. She led the tribe alongside her husband Frank Timmins and is the mother of; Patrick Scanlon (Michelle), Sean (Melissa) Scanlon, Angel Timmins (Christopher), Diane Keeny (Albert), Danielle Timmins, Tina (John) Gundle, and the late Michelle Scanlon. Diana is the proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Timmins family. We’ll come together in tribute and thanksgivings to share our heartfelt stories on Monday morning between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn where a remembrance ceremony will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. A graveside tribute will immediately follow at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
