Dennis S. Cox, age 74, of Oaklyn and Avalon, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Dennis was born in Camden and had been a longtime Oaklyn and Avalon resident. His home had contributed to the manpower of our great nation, upholding the ideals of our American Freedoms in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam War. He owned and operated Oaklyn Siding for over 30 years before his retirement and had been a longtime member of the Oaklyn, Audubon, Bettlewood VFW Post 4463. At home, he enjoyed cheering on the Phightin’ Phils and a few Miller Lites. In his early days, he enjoyed fishing and will fondly be remembered as a brave, loyal, and honest man.
Dennis is the loving husband of Linda (nee Furphy) Cox. He is survived by his daughter, 4 grandchildren and comes from a large family including 11 siblings. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his best friend and faithful companion, Chase.
Relatives, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather with the Cox family. We’ll come together in tribute and honor on Wednesday morning between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn where a United States Army Military Honors Ceremony will begin at 12:00 pm.
