Suddenly on October 29, 2014. , of Newark DE, formerly from Haddon Heights, NJ. Age 49 years. David enjoyed a lifelong career in the culinary field, which began at the age of 19 at Klondike Kate's in Newark. He honed his skills through passion and hard work to eventually become the executive chef at the Blue Crab Grill for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid fisherman. Predeceased by his father Robert T.Countey and survived by his mother Elizabeth Irene Countey and ten brothers and sisters; James P. (Linda), William J., Kathleen A., Dorothy J Gies (George), Patrick J. (Stacie), Debra A. Robinson (Bill), John R., Robert D. (Kathy), Edward P. (Michele) Barbara L., and many loved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Monday morning Nov. 3rd from 9:00 to 11:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at St. Aloysius Church 37 W. Haddon Ave., Oaklyn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00 am at the Church. Interment to be held at the convenience of the Family.
