Charles "Chal" G. Cattell

On March 28, 2015, a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, NJ, age 84. He is the beloved husband for 63 years of Catherine C. (nee Neuhouser), devoted father of Ronald C. Cattell (Frances M.) and cherished grandfather of Christine M. Pierce (Gary E.). He is also survived by his precious great grandchildren Colin Patrick, Finnegan Charles and Margaret Anne. Chal was a direct descendent of Revolutionary War Hero, Jonas Cattell and was an avid private book collector. He was a well read and well-spoken man who lived and died his way. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Thursday, April 9th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 400 WHITE HORSE PIKE, OAKLYN, NJ. His Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Gloucester City. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 190 N. Evergreen Ave., #122, Woodbury, NJ 08096 or Holy Redeemer Home Care, 150 9th Ave., Runnemede, NJ 08078.
