Catherine Ann (Webster) Saier

Catherine “Cathy” Saier, age 83, Barefoot Bay, FL (formerly of Pine Hill, NJ), passed away on July 16, 2023.

Cathy was the loving wife of the late Henry “Hank” Saier for 46 years. Cathy was born in Millville and grew up in Gloucester City. She graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1959 and was an active member of the school’s alumni association. Cathy settled in Pine Hill after marriage and worked as a secretary at John H. Glenn Elementary School in Pine Hill until 2005 when she retired. That same year, she and Hank officially moved to their retirement home in Barefoot Bay, Florida where they were very active in the community and enjoyed traveling in their RV, fishing, and watching the sunsets together.

Cathy was an active and productive member of The Moose Chapter 1764 in Sebastian, Florida as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. She was very passionate about researching her family tree. She had a love for family history and a strong desire to make connections with distant relatives and discover information about her ancestors.

Nothing brought Cathy more joy than spending quality time with her family and friends. In the last 6 years, she divided her time between her home in Florida and Sun Outdoors RV Resort in Cape May, NJ.

Cathy is predeceased by her brother, Roland Webster, her sisters, Marilyn Creamer, Barbara Flexon, and Bonnie Schmidt, and her husband Hank Saier. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 21 from 11:00 AM to 12 PM at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes, 700 Powell St., Gloucester City, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Harleigh Cemetery, Camden, NJ.
