We all come to this world to be tourists, enjoy life, go sightseeing and do good deeds. Carol A. Bennett (nee Hargesheimer) toured her 81 years as a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family. Life is a journey that isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, even breaks your heart. On Wednesday October 14th, 2020 Carol passed away and our tears came crashing down around us.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Camden and spent many of her years as a Gloucester City neighbor. She loved to travel to Tennessee and sightseeing at Dollywood with her sister Sissy and the feel good comfort food at Cracker Barrel. During her early years she was a member of the Gloucester City Little League Ladies Auxiliary and she retired from working in the Deli at the Brooklawn Shoprite.
Mrs. Bennett is the widow of her late husband Richard G. Bennett, Sr. She is the mother of Kathleen Martin, Michael Bennett and the late Richard G. Bennett, Jr. She is the proud grandmother of; Steven, Jr, Christopher, Ross, Richard, III, Samantha, Karlie and great grandmother of Jaden, Peyton and Mia. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her brother Joe Hargesheimer.
Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to gather with the Bennett family. We’ll be sharing our heartfelt stories between 1:00 and 2:00 pm on Monday afternoon at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes 700 Powell St. Gloucester City. The time honored tradition of reuniting those we love with nature will be held privately. #crerancelebration #heartfelt
