Bessie P. Springman (nee Glanding), age 97, fondly known as Betty to her loved ones, passed away at Woodbury Mews on March 15, 2024. She was born in Bridgeton and had been a longtime Oaklyn neighbor. Betty was a woman of great dedication and warmth, a devoted homemaker throughout her married life.
Betty held her faith dear and was a longtime and cherished congregant of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oaklyn. Betty shared her generosity volunteering her talents during church lunches and served as an usher, leaving a lasting impact on the community she dearly loved.
Mrs. Springman was predeceased by her late, beloved husband, William Springman. Betty's legacy lives on through her children; Lynn and her husband Donald Anderson, Scott and his wife Barbara Springman, John Springman, and Nancy and her husband Joseph Fowler. She took immense pride and was the proud grandmother of; Nathanael Springman, Tiffany Springman, Ashley Fowler and great-grandmother to Lauren Springman and Rose Fowler.
Relatives, friends, neighbors, and congregants are invited to gather with the Springman family. We’ll come together in tribute and thanksgiving on Saturday morning between 10:00 am and 11:00 am at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church 409 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn where a memorial ceremony will be celebrated by Pastor Jay Berry at 11:00 am. Urn niche placement will immediately follow at Church.
In honoring the remarkable life of Bessie P. "Betty" Springman, let us remember her for the love she shared and the kindness she showed to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever treasured in our hearts.
