(nee Conners) of Audubon, NJ, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2015 with family by her side. Anne was born March 3, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA. She lost her mother when she was 7 and was raised by her oldest sister, Babe and her husband, who instilled in Anne their wonderful sense of humor. She, in turn, passed this on to her children, and they to their children.
This is a family who knows how to laugh and cry together. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. McCracken. Anne is survived by son Glenn and his wife Bobbie of Freedom, NH, her devoted daughter Maureen of Audubon, NJ, son Barry and his wife Joany of Haddon Heights, NJ and son Neil and his wife Mary of Audubon, NJ; she was a grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 22, great-great grandmother of 4 and has numerous nieces and nephews. Anne loved her family and they her.
She loved to travel and would go at the drop of a hat without asking where. She did extensive travel overseas with her husband, daughter and friends, many camping excursions with her children in RVs and numerous bus trips and casino trips across the US. She loved life. Anne retired in 1992 from the Registrar's Office at Rutgers-Camden, where she loved helping the students and going to work each day. She was a joy and inspiration to all she encountered.
There will be a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, February 28, 2015 10:00AM at Henry Funeral Home, 152 W Atlantic Ave, Audubon, NJ 08106. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30AM.
